Tree Consultancy Group is a chartered arboricultural practice which carries out professional tree surveys and provides reports and advice on matters relating to safety, risk management, planning and development.
Although we mainly serve clients in Edinburgh, the Lothians and Scottish Borders, we operate nationally and will work elsewhere in Scotland and in the rest of the UK.
We provide:
- Tree safety surveys and audits for industrial and commercial clients.
- Tree surveys for planning and development (BS5837 surveys) with CAD plans.
- Pre-planning (or purchase) site appraisals and feasibility studies.
- Duty of Care surveys to comply with The Occupier’s Liability (Scotland) Act 1960 and The Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974.
- Tree risk assessment and management (in accordance with HSE guidance).
- Tree surveys and reports for insurance and mortagages.
- Expert Witness representation.
We do not carry out tree work (tree surgery) or felling. We therefore have no financial incentive to recommend any unnecessary work to clients’ trees.
Our clients include Local Authorities, Councils, charities, private estates, Housing Associations, solicitors, property owners and managers.
We always try to operate to the highest professional and ethical standards, and adhere to the Institute of Chartered Foresters members’ Code of Conduct at all times.
